PAYMENT —
All major credit cards are accepted, and e-transfers can be sent to Admin@ovcs.ca for payment. Receipts are sent by email within 24 hours of your session.
CANCELLATION POLICY —
We require at least 24-48 hours’ advance notice, by phone and email, or you will be charged the full cost of the session.
INSURANCE —
Most extended health insurance plans are accepted for our Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Social Workers only.
Always check your insurance plan for your specific coverage.
ONLINE/ TELEHEALTH Counselling —
Our therapists offer both in-person and virtual sessions for British Columbia residents only. Our counsellors offer in-person and virtual sessions depending on your location. We use a secure HIPAA platform (JaneApp) to conduct these video sessions, which you can access on your computer, tablet, or phone.
Please Note:
We bill many insurance companies directly; however, coverage varies by plan and is not guaranteed. We recommend clients confirm their benefits in advance to avoid any unexpected costs.
Fees not covered by your insurance provider remain the client’s responsibility.
Helpful questions to ask your plan administrator include:
- Does my plan provide reimbursement for mental health and/or counselling services?
- Do they cover for a Registered Clinical Counsellor or a Registered Social Worker?
- Do I have a deductible?
- How many sessions per year does my extended healthcare insurance cover? And what is the maximum amount that they cover for counselling services per policy year?
- What percentage of the fee do they cover?
Direct Billing
As a service to you we provide direct billing to many insurance providers; however, coverage is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for verifying and know their own benefits.
Due to privacy regulations, we do not have access to individual insurance plan details.
