Alison is a West Kelowna and Okanagan Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University College of Alberta.

In addition to her clinical work, Alison is an Associate Professor in City University of Seattle’s Master of Education program, where she supervises and facilitates School Counselling practicum and internship students throughout their training.

Her work in both counselling and Education reflects her deep commitment to ethical practice, lifelong learning, and supporting growth at every stage of life. Alison supports adults, young adults, and families with anxiety, life transitions, relationships, grief, and self-esteem using CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness.

Her calm, grounded presence helps clients feel safe, understood, and supported as they build resilience, develop practical coping skills, strengthen relationships (with themselves and others), and move toward meaningful change.

In her practice, Alison draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices.

She thoughtfully tailors each session to the individual’s unique needs, creating space for insight, growth, and lasting transformation.

Alison genuinely enjoys connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds, and she considers it an honour to walk alongside clients as they rediscover their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and create a life that feels more balanced, empowered, and aligned with who they truly are.
