Registered Clinical Counsellor
Diane Rowen is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with decades of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges and transitions. She brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and is known for her warm, thoughtful approach. Diane works with adults, couples, and older youth, supporting concerns such as anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, burnout, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
Diane believes that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their inner experiences and move toward greater self-awareness and resilience. Her approach is collaborative, intuitive, and rooted in a deep respect for each person’s story.
In her practice, Diane draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Narrative Therapy. She also incorporates elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic awareness when appropriate, always tailoring her work to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Clients are often drawn to Diane’s steady presence, deep listening, and ability to gently guide them toward clarity and confidence. She welcomes people at all stages of their personal journey—whether you’re facing a specific struggle or simply seeking space to reflect and grow.
Outside of her counselling work, Diane enjoys hiking local trails, tending to her garden, and spending quiet weekends reading or painting. She also has a love for coastal travel and finds inspiration in nature and the arts.
