PREVENTING JOB BURNOUT
Any job that you have comes with a certain amount of stress and can lead to job burnout. It often comes with the territory. In order to stay challenged and stimulated, psychologists say that we all need some stress in our jobs. However, when individuals are under too much stress are finding work-life balance difficult, notice a decline in their quality of life, they may be experiencing what people call a personal energy crisis, called job burnout.
We may believe that it’s just stress that causing job burnout, it is our perception of it that can cause problems. There are various strategies and personal skills that can help insulate and cope with job burnout and its causes.
WHAT IS BURNOUT?
Defining Burnout: It’s has two central features one being physical and mental exhaustion and two the loss of motivation to work. Physical and mental exhaustion may have the following symptoms that include headaches, backaches, stomach upsets, irritability, insomnia, and anxiousness. Loss of motivation to work can mean feeling a lack of interest, avoidance, and withdrawal from your current job duties.

According to psychologists, there is a JOB BURNOUT EQUATION which seeks to explain what’s happening when we are burnout from our job. Job burnout commonly occurs when the demand for physical and mental energy exceeds the supply. Over time, these demands can drain an individual’s energy reserves.
