There are times in everyone’s life when a little extra support is needed. We offer Clinical Counselling Services in the Okanagan at Orchard Valley Counselling Services Inc. We assist in providing people with a wide range of life events from coping with daily pressures, like job loss or relationship problems – to addressing mental health issues and breaking cycles of abuse.
Our Okanagan counselling services are for individuals, couples and families. All of our counsellors have a significant level of training, numerous years of experience and work from a variety of research and trauma-informed approaches, and always hold ourselves accountable to you.

Contact OVCS at 236.361.0043. Ask to speak with the Intake Counsellor, who will ask you some questions about yourself and your situation and guide you through the process of beginning counselling.

What You Can Expect
You will meet with a counsellor for about 50-mins. The counsellor will explore with you the issues that you are experiencing. Together, you will set goals to work on the things that are important to you and move toward the future you want.
Changes that happen in counselling may include decisions that you make, new habits or ways of coping that you practice, different ways of relating to others, healing from traumatic experiences. The focus is yours to determine.
Sometimes counselling lasts for one or two sessions to solve a simple issue and sometimes the counselling work can be a longer process if the issues are complex or long term.
