Look, Listen and Feel Exercise for Anxiety

Main Objective:

To decrease your anxiety and be “in the moment”. Find a relaxing place to sit and get comfortable in a chair, while breathing slowly do the following:

1. Name 5 things you see around you in your environment. Such as a chair, a table, a mug, your hand.

2. Name 5 things you hear around you. ie. cars outside, your breath, music, a fan, the clock ticking.

3. Name 5 things you feel in your environment or on your body. ie. your feet touching the floor, your chest moving with each breath, your t-shirt touching your back or the breeze on your hair.

 


Then go through the same mindful exercise with the following:
