Sam Gallo is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Counselling from City University. Sam is deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward personal growth by fostering a safe and connected therapeutic environment.

Sam’s practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centered, and relational approach, emphasizing the importance of connection and safety within the therapeutic relationship. She integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based somatic techniques to bring an attachment-focused perspective to her work. Her goal is to create a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their inner world, gain insight, and build resilience through curiosity, compassion, and connection.

Sam has experience working with a diverse range of individuals, from youth with developmental trauma and attachment wounds—often manifesting as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance use—to adults seeking support in managing trauma symptoms or processing emotions. She also has experience assisting parents of children and adolescents facing mental health challenges.

Originally from West Kelowna, Sam spent several years in Vancouver completing her education and enjoying the coastal lifestyle. Recently, she returned to Kelowna, where she cherishes time spent at the lake and with family. Outside of her practice, Sam enjoys outdoor activities such as alpine hiking, lake swimming, and skiing, as well as reading a good book.
